House...

Man I am loving our new house and neighborhood. Tonight we took the girls on a wagon ride around the neighborhood, then I sent them to the back yard with Trey while I ran back through it. Such a quite, peaceful little run I had with great views all around us! Got to watch the sun set behind the mountains and that was absolutely beautiful! I decided to post some of the pictures from inside but there are no pictures of the office or many of Peyton's because I am still working on them! :) We would love for each of you to come visit us and see it in person! Although I know that is not something that all of our family can do because of distance so for now this will have to do!

The road goes on forever and the party never ends!!

Wow! It has been a very long time since I have posted! Let me tell ya we have been extremely busy every since! So lets play catch up....
1. First of all our baby girl turned the big number one!! I am so proud of all her accomplishments in this past year. She is now walking everywhere, has 3 teeth, big beautiful blue eyes, blonde hair (a lot longer than big sissy's was at this age), a smile that can melt anyone's heart, says several words and is already very smart. Love that sweet little girl, she makes our lives so complete!
2. Also, back in April I got my real estate license and went to work for Sendero Properties. I am absolutely loving my job and so glad that God brought me down this path. I have been way more busy that I could of ever dreamed that I would be and it is just now starting to pick up! Closing on my first house August 1st and excited to get this one under the belt and on to the next! Best part about my job is that the girls can go with me that way I also get to be a stay at home mommy to them!! And when I do need help with them all I have to do is call Nana, Mi-Mom or Ber Ber. Big thanks to them
3. Back in April we also sold our very first home together. After several problems that arose on the buyers side we finally closed and signed on that last month! It was definitely a bitter sweet day! Although we were sad to leave our very first home together and the house that we brought our girls home too, we were also very excited because that meant we were one day closer to our dream house! In the mean time we have been staying with my mom and dad, trey's mom and my sister until our house was done being built. Finally after a few months of waiting we are moving in SATURDAY! I am so over whelmed with joy that I could scream! haha! So excited not to be living out of laundry baskets anymore and desperately looking forward to having my dresser back! :) The girls I know I are looking forward to having their lives back to normal and of course to see all their things and toys again!
So with that being said, I have had several people ask me to post pictures of the house. I decided to share them in a blog instead so that only certain people could see them.
We bought the house when it was only at the studs so here it is with the walls starting to go up. Sorry forgot to take a picture of the very first time we saw it!
That's right it says SOLD! :) Was very happy to see this sign go up!
The day that brick starting going up!
And now the rock!!
After the rock and brick was done! Like a kid in a candy shop driving down the road and saw this!!

Outdoor fire place done! This sets on our back porch, looking forward to winter nights by the fire cooking smores!

Love Love these doors! One of the best parts about the house!
Kitchen cabinets going in! Pleases excuse the orphan looking girl in the photo!
Getting closer, starting to stain the cabinets!
Kitchen
Rock wall in the entry way.
Fireplace in the living room done and tile in!
Drive way poured and just in time for the massive rain we got!
Lights being hung, have some pictures from the inside also of lights going up but that will be on another blog! :)

Excited to see garage door painted today and all the inside paint was touched up!! Only a few more days!

Finally a mail box!

Dirt being built up to the house and privacy fence being put up around the back yard today!! :)

**I have a ton more pictures from the house but this blog would be 5 miles long if I uploaded each of them!! Pictures of the inside coming soon!!

Goodbye 2012.. Hello 2013

As 2012 comes to an end I have been thinking about all the memorable moments that our family has shared and I can truly say we have been blessed with a great life! The year started off with us celebrating the day that we bought our first house on January 17th, 2009. We were so proud to finally be home owners and have cherished all the memories made here over the last 3 years. Feburary 2 we celebrated 4 years of marriage and heres to many more to come. This year we have also spent countless hours with our friends at the lake and those are moments that one can never forget, watched several of our wonderful friends tie the knot, welcomed Kendal into the world after waiting what seemed like forever, celebrated 3 wonderful years with Peyton (Where has the time gone?), watched Peyton move into the big girl class at gymnastics which was a very proud moment. Trey got promoted at work and I completed another half marathon. We also took the girls on their first big vacation to sea world and had a wonderful time! These are just a few of the wonderful things we have shared in 2012! I am excited to ring in a New Year and see what 2013 has in store for us!

This World Is Not My Home....

Last night I talked to several other ladies that also have kids about the shooting that occured on Friday. We discussed how it makes us live in fear to take our children anywhere and that it is so sad that no where is considered a "safe" place anymore! This story was on my mind all night last night after talking to them and all I could think of is why does the media keep naming the shooter and doing stories on him? Isn't that just giving him the victory that he wanted by making his name so well known? The stories instead should only be focused on the very innocent children that paid the price of this illness and the teachers/people that gave their lives to protect the kids. In my prayers I prayed that as my two girls get old enough to attend school that their teachers, principles or anyone else that will be among them while at school will have just as much courage & loving hearts as those did to do anything to protect them! After thinking & talking about this story pretty much all night I ended having a dream that I was stuck in a classroom and that a guy dressed in all black came in and didn't say a word. Instead stood there looking around before drawing his gun. In my dream as I hide under my desk I was praying that the sounds would all just stop and the maddness would end. I woke up my heart was pounding nearly out of the chest! The fear and helplessness that I felt was overwhelming! It just broke my heart all over again to think about how those people & children must of felt! So of course as any mother would do I jumped out of bed, went to each girls rooms to check on them. Suddenly a song came into my head, I believe it was Carrie Underwood that said it best when she said, "This is not my home, it's not where I belong. This is just a stop on the way to where I'm going. I am not afraid...." and so on. God does not want us to live in fear, he wants us to put all of our faith in him that he will protect us and our loved ones so this is what I am going to do. I have decided not to let those people win in their ways to make us live in fear of them. God is bigger & he will overcome!

Life Goes On & On

For some reason this blog crossed my mind today and I realized how long it has been since I blogged! Lots to catch up on! Life for us has been flying by!
Kendal--
Our sweet baby girl is 4 months now, almost 5. Can't believe it's already almost been half a year! She is growing everyday and even though I am loving watching her learn new things along with independence I wish some how we could freeze frame our kids younger years! The things you can do at 4 months are make several noises (not sure what they are haha), roll over, laugh out loud (although it doesn't happen often, smile the biggest smiles, and squeal! Oh man you have a squeal especially when you get so excited! Last night we faced time daddy at work and at first you weren't sure what to think about it. You would look at the phone and then back at me! Haha. Once you figured out it was indeed your daddy you started talking, smiling & squealing! You are so much like your big sister but yet do different too! You for sure have your own little personality! So laid back and such a snuggler which is something Peyton does not like to do! You already have more hair at 4 months then your sister had at 1 year, you are already getting teeth, and you have the biggest blue eyes! You are so pretty! For about a month now you have been sleeping all night and in your own bed. Most of the time you are ready for bed about 8 and sleep till 7. Sometimes we get lucky and you go back to bed till 9! When we took you into the doctor you weighed 15.6. The doc said you had the weight of a 6 month old and the height of a 5 month. Even though everyone thinks you are so big you are only one pound heavier than Peyton was at this age! Daddy & I are very happy that you are chunky, just means  you are very well taken care of! :) This week we celebrated your first real holiday, Thanksgiving! Didnt really turn out as planned but still very thankful to have you & sissy in our lives! This holiday we spent in Stamford with Nana, Paw & Ber Ber. We were gonna try to meet daddy's side of the family in Weatherford but you decided to be sick for several days. Big sissy was also sick so we just rested! Looking forward to month 5 with you!

Peyton--
Your little personality never ceases to amaze me!! You have a mind of your own and no one can change it once you have it made up! You are really really big into Hello Kitty right now, you love anything to do with her. You also love playing with dolls, Barbie, your doll house & anything that involves do hair or nails. One of your favorite things to do is go get a pedicure! Although you love being girly you are our little Tom boy as well. This deer season was your first hunt with just you & daddy! Although y'all didnt see anything in the blind (probably thanks to the snacks, hair fixing & talking) you had a great time with daddy & he loved every second of it! You are still involved in gymnastics and have excelled so much in your class. You do at least 10 flips in a row l everytime you get on the swing!  Now you are also doing a dance class called tap, jazz & tumble. The teacher says you have the best booty shake! Haha! Don't know weather to be embarrassed about that or proud! :) you love all things that are active, you do not like to sit still. Daddy says you get this from me! Christmas is coming up and you have been naming so many things that you want. A short version of your list includes: a hello kitty tent, a Barbie suit case, honey (a play horse), barbies, dolls, skates & books. Forgot to mention you absolutely love to read! This year we added the elf on the shelf and you named her Snowy. Your not real sure about her yet bc I told you she is gonna be watching you! Haha! You are very smart & not much gets past you. The other day I was wrapping presents and told you not to come into the room because i was wrapping yours.. You replied, "but Mommy I thought Santa brought the presents not you & daddy!" I was busted! :) You are growing so fast and it's so unfair!!! I just want you to be little forever! I am dreading the day when daddy & I are no longer your best friends. The scariest part about that is that it's already happening! You love to have Charli down to our house. You two immediately go into your room, start blarring the music & the door closes. When I come in there to check on y'all you yell at me to get out! In a way it's funny & I laugh but hurts my feelings at the same time! You have been potty trained since you were 18 months old but we still couldn't get down night time. About 2 weeks ago you decided you wanted to start sleeping in panties and have been dry ever since! I was so proud of you because I thought you were never gonna get it! Of course you sleep in your own bed and all night! You are definetly a sleeper!! You would sleep all day if we woul let you. When you start school daddy & I are gonna have the harder time fighting you to get up! You are not a morning person at all and normally you hide under the covers & beg for more time to sleep! If I didn't know any better I would say you are teenager stuck in a toddlers body! Your teenager years should be fun for us! ;)

Kendal 2 months, Peyton 3

Today I am the mother of a 2 month old and also a 3 year old! My how time flies by. Even though I stay at home everyday with my girls and rarely miss anything I still feel as though time is slipping away from us!! Some say you blink and before you know it they are all grown up, this is so true! Most of the time children are with their parents for at least 18 years (Some longer) and when you say that it sounds like you have so much time with them but in reality 18 years isn't quite enough! My prayer for my girls are they continue to grow is that they will not only have a wonderful relationship with God but also with Trey & I! That we will always stay a close family!
Kendal @ age 2 months-- You are growing like a weed little girl. When people ask how old you are and I say 2 months they get the weirdest expression. You are such a chunky little thing! This week you have to go back for your monthly checkup and I am anxious to see what you weigh now! Not happy that you have to get shots this visit though. Especially with daddy being gone! It's hard for a mommy to watch their babies hurt! I think big sissy has to get shots too if that makes you feel any better. She will for sure scream & cry! Today you sat in the bumbo for the first time & did great for about 15 mins before your neck started to get tired! You hold your head up so good for your age! You are also very alert and love for people to talk to you. You have the most adorable smile and can almost laugh out loud. I am looking forward to hearing a sweet little giggle! You are still taking 4 ounces of formula about every 2-3 hours so sometimes we still do rice. You are a wonderful sleeper as well. Usually you go to sleep about 8:30 to 9:00 and most of the time you sleep till about 6:30. Every once in a while you will get up at 3:30 to eat. You love to be held, you would sleep forever if I would just sit up and hold you! The other night you slept the entire night and didn't wake up till 8:40am! You must of been exhausted! Your bunny is still your sleeping buddy and you won't hardly go to sleep without it. You sometimes take a pacifier but are not a big fan of it.You survived Sea World at the age of 6 weeks and did a great job. You got a little fussy when you got hot but for the most part you just slept! That night we watched a fireworks show and you absolutely loved that! Last week you also went to your first fair! Monday we went with daddy and family and you loved to look at all the lights. Thursday we went with your cousins Bay & Bo. Although it rained on us most of the night you were such a trooper! Friday was your first football game to attend and you slept nearly the whole game then too! Even when people yelled and the bands played! You have already gone and done so much for your age! Looking forward to the next month with you as well!

Peyton @ age 3-- Today is your birthday and I couldn't be more proud of the little lady that you have become! I have enjoyed watching you grow these past couple of years! You are so sweet, full of life and attitude. Right now your favorite food is sausage and mac & cheese. Your favorite song is the Pontoon song and man can you work those hips while listening to it. LOL. You are quite the little dancer! You still love to watch Dora but now we can actually watch other shows too. "G" is still and will always be your best friend, you still sleep with him every night. Mommy is trying to break you of having him during the day and so far you are doing better. The other day you went to church and we accidentally left him at home and you still did great! You didn't even ask for him! I was so proud!! You go to sleep every night with apple juice and G. Of course you sleep at night and most of the time we have to come wake you up in the mornings because you would sleep all day if we would let you! You are a great sleeper!! You are still doing gymnastics and you are very good at it. You just moved up to the big girl class and you are excelling in there very fast! You always ask if you can be a cheerleader when you get older and nothing would make Mommy more proud... well maybe if you had that same love for softball when you get older. lol jk! You are so smart at the age of 3 that it is almost scary. You can work the iphone better than most adults can and you love to listen to pandora and watch you tube. I will catch you sometimes in the bedroom talking and you will be on the phone with your daddy. I have no idea how you even know when name is his to push! This year you attended your 3rd fair and were finally old enough to ride the rides. Mommy thought you might be scared but you wanted to ride everything! You did almost ever ride you could and did it all by yourself!! You loved Sea World as well and did excellent there! You liked to watch the shows and have talked about the whale and dolphins ever since. You have such an imagination and have started telling such funny stories! You like to tell stories about the farmers market and puppy dogs! LOL. Daddy and I are so proud of you and pray that you continue to excel in all that you do! Happy 3rd Birthday Peyt Rae!!

Kendal- 1 Month

It wasn't until I started reading my friend Loren's blog about her daughter that I realized I have blogged in forever. With how busy we have been trying to get in last minute things before summer comes to a bitter sweet end, I have forgotten to keep everyone updated on the Walton life. Kendal is now one month old and I have absolutely no idea where the time has been flying too! She is our little piggy! She was eating 3oz of formula every 2-3 hours so I decided to up it to 4 oz. She can now make it about 3-4 hours. What can I say, she loves to eat! You could probably already tell that by her chunky cheecks though! lol. She reminds me so much of her sister Peyton that sometimes I have to remind myself that its not her. Against what all doctors will probably tell you to do I started her on rice about 2 weeks ago, so she is now sleeping most of the time from about 10 to 5 then back to sleep until about 9. We have been so blessed that both of our babies have been sleepers. She loves to go to sleep with her bunny and pacifier. I told my mom that thanks to her I now have another child that has to have a stuffed animal to go to sleep. :) We went from a bunny to a pig to Mr. G with Peyton. I wonder what animal Kendal will choose when she gets a little bigger. She has been smiling a lot here lately mostly at Peyton. She can hear Peyts voice and immediately stop crying to smile and watch her big sister. Peyton has adjusted so much better than I have orginally thought to having to share the attention. The only times we have some issues is at night. She is such a great helper with her as well picking out clothes and changing diapers. She actually has started to tell me when things I pick out for Kendal are not what she wanted or are not "cute" for sissy. Makes me heart smile when I hear Peyton talking to her saying things like "I am so proud that you are here" or "You are just so cute sissy". God for sure blessed us with two beautiful girls. I am so lucky to be their mom. Life has been a little different trying to adjust with 2 children insted of one. For those of you who truly know us, we are some busy people!! lol. Wouldn't change it for anything though and we are managing just fine! Kendal is already used to the going life. This next coming weekend both of our girls will be experiencing their first big vacation. We have decided to take them to sea world. Not real sure how that is gonna go with Kendal but luckily my parents, mi-mom and ber ber will be around to help! Looking forward to many more months to come and I will try my hardest to remember to update as time goes on!
                                          One month old!!
