36 Weeks & Peyts 1st Dental Visit

Yesterday morning I woke up for boot camp and could tell right away something was different. I was very sick feeling but thought getting something to eat might make me feel better. I went ahead and went to boot camp where I was having lots of trouble just finishing the workout. I felt very weak & still sick. After the gym, Mom was here with Peyton so we decided to go run some errands. After several stores we met my sister for lunch. At this point I was having a constant sharp lower pain and was getting pretty weak feeling. I thought I might have been dehydrated so I called Dr. Ogdee to see what he said, of course he if out of the office till Monday. After listening to the syptoms the nurse told me to go into labor & delivery. Luckily Tristan had asked Peyton to go swimming with them so she had something fun to do. Mom went with my to L & D where we ended up staying for almost 3 hours! Talk about boring!! They checked me when I got there and I was already dilated to a 3 so they wanted me to stay for about an hour to monitor me. I was having several groups of contractions but nothing too consistent so after 2 hours of monitoring me I was still at a 3 and was able to come home. As we are leaving the nurse says, "Well we might see ya this weekend". So now its just the waiting game! Have another doctors appointment on Monday, I am anxious to see what he will say! Trey will bc home here shortly so at least if something happens he will be home and not stuck at work! Needless to say I went to walmart right away where we stocked up with food, came home & cleaned the house, washed sheets and made sure all the bags were ready just in case. Like I said it's a waiting game, could be tomorrow or 3 more weeks! A big thanks to my mom for helping with Peyton and cleaning the house!! Yesterday we were also 36 weeks along which means only 27 days left! According to thebump.com-- Your once-poppy seed would probably be able to breathe on her own if she was born right now. (If not, she’d probably need some TLC, but likely be okay.) Most of her systems are in working order at 36 weeks. Kendal is now the size of a honeydew! She's still in the 17.2- to 18.7-inch and 4.2- to 5.8-pound range and continues to beef up, her skin is getting smooth and soft and her gums are rigid, circulation and immune systems are basically good to go, too! We are getting very excited & anxious for Kendal's big arrival day!!
Sorry I look horrible in the pic.. headed to the gym.

This morning Peyton had her first dentist appointment. She was very excited to go and showed me exactly how she was suppose to open up when the dentist looked at her teeth. I was a little nervous because with her you never know if she is going to be shy and stuck to my leg or just talk the lady's head off! Luckily she did completely awesome and was very polite to the dentist. She did everything she told her to do. They cleaned her teeth & checked for cavities. I was so relieved to hear that she might have teeth like her daddys with no cavities. If she took after me in that department we would be screwed! I have like 2 everytime I go to the dentist. The dentist talked to her about not drinking as many cokes & juice especially at night so Peyton came home and immediately started drinking a bottle of water. It was too funny! I was very proud of how good she did and she is looking forward to getting her prize when Daddy gets home! :)
After the dentist. She loved her hat that she got along with her basketball & sticker!

35 Weeks!

One more week till we reach the 9 month mark... only 35 more days unless Kendal decideds to grace us with her presence earlier. The doctor said on Monday that more than likely she will come before 40 weeks, I was so relieved to hear this! I want her to be completely ready to come but I am also so ready to be done being pregnant! Can't wait to get back into my regular running routine, plus this very hot weather is a killer! The baby doesn't have much room to maneuver now that she's over 18 inches long and tips the scales at 5 1/4 pounds. With her room running out she isn't likely to be doing somersaults anymore, but the number of times she kicks should remain about the same. Her kidneys are fully developed now, and the liver can process some waste products. Most of her basic physical development is now complete — the next few weeks will be spent putting on weight (Hopefully not much more weight for mommy though)!

Baby Shower Day!

Now that we are almost 35 weeks I guess I should do my 34 weeks update! I have been doing pretty bad at keeping these going! We only have 39 more days to go! The bump.com-- Watch what you say! Your curious baby is listening in on your conversations so feel free to talk to them or even sing, they might enjoy it! Some say that the baby will recognize songs mom sings while she’s in the womb, and may even be more easily soothed by them.  She weighs in at about 4.2 pounds to 5.8 pounds and measures about 17.2 to 18.7 inches.  Most of you will be very happy to know we have finally picked a name for the baby, it's Kendal. Although she has yet to have a middle name it makes me feel so much better to have her name finalized and the nursery just about done! Especially with the way I have been feeling the past 2 days and mostly yesterday I am glad to have things ready to go if she happens to make an early arrival! Today we had a little shower for baby girl and needless to say when you look at the pictures this girl is already spoiled! We had a wonderful turn out and were given so many gifts from our wonderful family & friends! We are very very blessed! After the shower I went home and began putting things right away. I was so excited to get everything organized. Up until this point everything has seemed so out of place and just a total train wreck! I even went ahead and packed her up a bag for the hospital! Our next doctors appointment is this Monday, 2 weeks from then we have another appointment then it's time to start doing them weekly!

Moments that make life worth living!

Some people think they know exactly how love feels and that it is at it's highest peak, I know I felt the same way when Trey came into my life but no person has truely felt love until you have a child. Trey and I have been so blessed with Peyton in our lives and cant even begin to imagine what we would be doing without her! She has brought us more joy, love and life lessons than we could have ever asked or prayed for! I have said it before and will continue to say I do not know how one can not believe in God when they look into the eyes of a child and all their innocence! The other night we had a wonderful family night laying out in the back yard on a quilt. We had all the lights turned off and were eating watermelon by the light of the moon then finished off the night by looking up at the stars and Trey & Peyt playing bullrider in the grass! It was a picture perfect night and made me really count my blessings! This 2 weeks Peyton has surprised me so much! On Memorial Day, we decided to go to the lake, she has never got fully into the water because she was scared her life jacket wouldn't let her float but this day she decided to give it a try and hasn't slowed down since. She started trusting her life jacket and swimming all by her self, she will not let you help her now because she is a big girl and can do it by herself! After that day, she has been swimming non stop in our pool and at the lake it's hard to get her out of the water now! Last summer Trey and I tried and tried to get her onto the tube but she would scream bloody murder, this weekend she also decided to give that a try. Charli and her were very big girls and gave it a go around with Tristan. Unfortunely they hit a little bump and all 3 were in the water, needless to say being two 2 year olds they freaked out and almost drowned Tristan! We weren't sure they would ever give it another try. They wouldn't even hear about getting on it without starting to cry. Today both of the girls conquered their fears and gave it another try, both girls ended up loving it! Of course Peyt had to do hers with her daddy and "G". LOL!
Laying out in the back yard enjoying a night of looking at the stars!!

Riding the tube!!

Now at 33 weeks pregnant, only 45 days left!! The baby now weighs about 4.2 to 5.8 pounds and measures about 17.2 to 18.7 inches. She may grow up to a full inch this week! Baby girl is now keeping her eyes open while awake, starting to coordinate breathing with sucking and swallowing & her bones are hardening. Can't believe how close the day is getting to finally meeting her! Tomorrow we are suppose to put together the baby crib and get her bedding put up! I'll post pictures of it soon!
