The first week!

The first week has come to an end! Can't believe Kendal is already a week old today and already changing so much!! We are again blessed to have a good baby and sleeper! Our baby girl is for sure  a big eater though and is taking 2 1/2 ounces every 2 to 3 hours. She sleeps pretty good at night most of the time makes it to a 4 hour stretch. Big sister is still very much into taking care of her and changing her diapers! She is so sweet to Kendal and loves to kiss her! Today we took her to her first check up by Dr. Strong. She was still at her birth weight (8lbs 11oz) and was 20 3/4 inches long! The doctor said thats really good that she already back up to her weight. He assured me that she wasn't eating too much which was something I had been on Trey about. :) Daddy thinks everytime her eyes open that she needs a bottle! Today Trey also left for work luckily only for a week this time! I must admit that I am a little nervous being left here alone with 2 kids but we will make it! Just say a little pray for us and epecially for me and my sanity! LOL!

Kendal's Arrival Day!

July 17th was the big day that I impatiently awaited for almost 10 months, that day finally came and I was so excited! I was up at 3:30ish that Tuesday morning taking a shower and getting ready. We actually slept really good the night before thanks to my mom and Amber for helping us with Peyton, we were able to go to bed early and actually sleep! We got to the hospital about 4:45am to begin the inducing but were told by the nurses that we would have to wait in the lobby till 7 due to being short staffed! I was so annoyed because I didn't know what were gonna do in that lobby for 2 hours, luckily they finally called us back at 6:20. The nurse got us settled in to our room but we actually didn't start the medicine until about 8ish! My morning was pretty rough! First the nurse couldn't get the IV to work in my hand so she decided to switch hands and ended up hitting a vein on the way out and causing it to bleed everywhere! On the next hand she put it in too far and hit my bone causing the blood to go back up the tube insted of out! It was for sure a very long hour getting started! Once the medicine started working, Dr. Ogdee came in to put the internal monitor on Kendal. He tried several different times and it just wasn't working so he decided to wait till later, I was so happy when he said that! About 8:30ish he came in to break my water after that I was given my epidural. I was so relieved to be getting this by that point only to later be disappointed that it didnt completely work. The contractions got pretty bad. This was so different than with Peyton, I didn't feel a thing with her and was able to actually sit in bed and talk. With Kendal, the nurses made me lay down the whole entire time trying to get the epidural to go farther up my back! The nurse went to find someone to redo my epidural but during that time the doctor came in and said it wasn't going to happen because it was time to have this baby. I felt like I was going into an emergency surgery the way everyone was running around in complete chaos. I was very nervous at this point because Peyton's delivery was nothing like that. I am so blessed with a wonderful husband who was right by my side the entire time. In the end it was way worth all the pain though because only a few short hours after starting, 12:56pm God blessed us with our second baby girl! She was so beautiful just like her sissy! Kendal reminds me so much of Peyton sometimes it's almost scary! Not to mention both of our girls both share the 17th birthdays! We are for sure blessed to have some big healthy babies! Kendal weighed 8lbs 11oz. and was 20 1/2 inches long! The nurses and Dr. Ogdee joked that we delieverd a line backer! :) Trey and I were also blessed that his cousin Stephanie was there to get every single thing on camera! We appreciate it so much and can't wait to see the amazing pictures that she got! Mommy & Daddy were so proud to show Kendal off after her arrival. There were tons of our family members present to help us celebrate!! Shortly after the nurses came to get her to get her bath and everything checked out. I took this opportunity to eat because I was starving and man did I pig out!! :) We were later moved to our other room were we were again visited by lots of family and friends! That Wednesday we came home and immediately the running around began! First trip was to walmart to get groceries and we haven't slowed down since then! Peyton is adjusting great and is such a great big sister!! She helps all the time with diaper changes, picking out outfits and feeding her baby sister! We are loving our life with our 2 daughters and wouldn't have it any other way! They are definetly a blessing from God!!

The Day Has Come...

Tomorrow is the big day!! Can't believe this day has finally come after what seems like the longest 9 months ever! Looking back it really did fly by but to me it seemed like eternity! Today we got everything ready to go including installing the car seat, cleaning house & car, mowing, packing bags, charging cameras and on & on! This evening we ate supper at one of our favorite places with some of our wonderful family, we had a good time. We got Peyton sent off to spend the night at Ber Ber's house with her & Nana! Now I am laying in bed trying to force myself to get some sleep which obviously isn't working too well since I am blogging instead of sleeping! :) We are very excited about tomorrow and thrilled that nearly all the ones that we love will be a part of it! Can't wait to welcome Miss Kendal to the world. Thanks to all who have been praying & thinking about us, keep it up, we will need more tomorrow as well! The next post will be her arrival information!! :)

39 Weeks!

Well looks like our little Kendal is going to continue to be stubborn, the doctors appointment today showed no progress again! I started to feel very disappointed and aggervated but at the same time glad to have some more alone time to spend with Peyton! Tomorrow we will only have one more week until we are induced on the 17th at 5am. I am still feeling pretty good, having lots of contractions but nothing regular enough to go in for. Trey has had a schedule change at work again so he will now be home on Wednesday till who knows! I am just glad he will be home a few days earlier to have time with just Peyton and I before all our big changes. He will also be home for our niece's 3rd birthday party and get to spend some time with his older sister Allison which doesn't happen much because he is always at work! I also have some last mintue honey dos that I can put him to work with :)! We are very excited that because of having to plan to be induced Allison will get to be home for the birth. We will really miss Emily but glad that she is doing very well in her job & enjoying her new life in San Marcos. With everything being planned out it looks like nearly everyone will get to be there to welcome Kendal to the world and our family! At almost 39 weeks we have only 8 days left! She is still about the size of a watermelon, which would explain my huge stomach sticking out! Looking forward to being done being pregnant and getting back into shape! It's too hot to be pregnant right now! That's all for now & the count down begins!! Praying this next week flies by!!

4th of July!

Another holiday has come and gone... so grateful that Trey was able to go into work one day later so that he was able to spend it with us! We spent our day with family & friends, Peyton loved the parade and the rodeo in Stamford too! She was suppose to ride in the parade but chickened out in the end, she did end up riding with her cousin Kenley in the grand entry at the rodeo and looked pretty cute doing so if I must say so myself! I was very proud of those two girls riding all by themselves! This morning Trey had to leave to go into work, we were very sad to watch him go. We are just thankful he only has to leave for 10 days this time insted of 14 and when he gets home we will be busy getting things prepared for Miss Kendal's arrival! Here are a few pictures from yesterday, sorry the post wasn't too long, we are getting ready for the second night of rodeo! Be posting again soon!

38 Weeks!

Sorry I never got around to posting our 37 weeks update, we have been so busy since Trey got home! We have spent a lot of time at the lake with friends, had some quality time with family and have been just enjoying the summer time! A little update on how things are going... we still have no progress in dilation, the doctor was shocked that she hasn't made her appearance by now! We went ahead and scheduled to be induced on July 17th if she hasn't come by then. I was very excited because not only is there light at the end of the tunnel but also things will be so much more planned and thats exactly how I wanted it. I am a big planner! So plans are... Trey will leave this Thursday for work, he will come home early on the 16th to help get everything ready and so that we can get a good nights sleep. We will have to be at the hospital at 5am on the 17th to get everything started. This way Trey will also get to spend two full weeks with us before going back to work!

38 Weeks-- We only have 15 days left until we meet Kendal!! We are beyond excited! Right now she is approximately the size of a pumpkin! Wow, can't believe she has grown that much! She is about 18.9 to 20.9 inches long and weighs about 6.2 to 9.2 pounds. She may have about an inch or so of hair already. Which if the old wives tale is true about heart burn & hair then this little one will have a head full.
